Why Editorial Board uses CETA Software for post-production management

Editorial Board is built from an experienced team of producers, editors, motion designers, and Flame artists. Founded at the beginning of 2025, this group of talent has collaborated on commercial projects with prestigious brands like Carl’s Jr., Alpha Romeo, Toyota, and Samsung, steadily building its reputation in the post-production industry.

Establishing a company, integrating creative technology, and attracting clients is a big challenge for a new studio. It requires pristine admin skills to execute efficiently. So, upon establishing the business, Editorial Board chose CETA Software for post-production management.

A clean slate

“I’ve worked with CETA a lot in the past, and that really helped me when creating a streamlined workflow for our new company,” says Kendall Kendall, Executive Producer of Post-Production at Editorial Board. “Familiarity wasn’t the only decision-making factor; I knew exactly what I needed, and it was refreshing to start from a clean slate. I have everything exactly where I need it.”

One feature that immediately enabled Kendall to organise her work was scheduling, which lays out all resources in one, easily digestible format. Here, talent, suites, and workstations can be displayed, showing the team how to make the most of their current materials. The next stage was to bring the work in.

Quick bids for studio growth

Post-production is a competitive and collaborative industry. That’s why Editorial Board needed to share quotes quickly and generate new leads effectively – so the team used CETA’s built-in tools.

“CETA has a custom bid template option, which means we can quickly create, modify, and share bids specific to each client,” says Kendall. “All of my bids are in one place so I’m able to quickly find everything I’ve ever shared with a client. I have the ability to share those with other team members as well, helping us be more consistent as a unit.”

Full transparency for teams

“Everyone wants to know their schedule in the upcoming weeks, and CETA makes that easy,” Kendall continues. “Everyone on the team has access to the platform, though some have more permissions than others. Having immediate access to real-time schedule updates and the ability to sync those with our personal calendars gives the whole team more insight into what’s coming next.”

While the platform is created for operational purposes, our clients can use CETA as they see fit for other benefits.

“The platform allows us to look at our company’s statistics holistically with real-time, fact-based reports,” explains Kendall. “This helps us see how we can improve in terms of metrics, not just subjective opinion.”

The onboarding industry standard

Major studios use CETA as an integral part of their workflows. Because of this, many industry professionals know the tool and can get started with it right away. This was particularly true for Editorial Board, as every staff member already had experience and could speak to the CETA team for any initial questions.

“I’m truly impressed with CETA’s response time,” says Kendall. “If I can’t figure something out, I’ll submit a ticket. It’s not your usual 48-hour wait; everyone is attentive and genuinely wants to find the correct solution for you.”

Editorial Board continues to grow, thanks to a talented team, an increasing roster of clients, and a well-organised post-production management tool.

“CETA Software is instrumental in what I do every day,” concludes Kendall. “It’s a tool I can’t live without, and every month I learn new things to do with it.”
